I bought a garmin 200 gps and im trying to update the maps online. The problem is when i plug the usb cable into the computer, my computer does not recognize the device.. It doesnt do anything, usually an icon will pop up saying new hardware detected.. but not this time. Any help would be greately appreciated

It isnt documented anywhere that it does charge the unit when you are connected to a computer but most of these type of devices do.

If you have any experiacne with this or any documented proof that it does charge I would appreciate it

i have a TomTom protable car gps. and i usually leave it in my clove box in its leather case over night when im at home. and its been as cold as 22 degrees latley at night. will it be ok? or should i bring it inside?

i live in a safe neighbor hood so it being stolen is not an issue
