How can I retrieve my saved tracks, routes and POI from the previous version of Garmin while shifting to the n?

I assume you are talking about the Mapsource program?
If so - it should just open old versions of your data.
I just checked - and my current version still opens files that are years old. If your files are really old (mps rather than gdb) - you have to choose that version in file/open, but apart from that, you should be fine. If you are still having problems, it would help if you were more specific about the program you are using, and the file types you want to read.
